561.214  Management of activities pertaining to protection and promotion of agricultural industry.  The Director shall appoint a person to manage the activities of the Department relating to the protection and promotion of the agricultural industry of the State of Nevada. The person is in the unclassified service of the State and must:

      1.  Be appointed on the basis of merit;

      2.  Be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in one of the agricultural sciences; and

      3.  Have at least 5 years’ experience in official work for regulating agriculture.

Ê The Director may remove the person from office with the approval of the Board.
