633.466 - Physician assistants: Supervision by physician.
1. Â A physician assistant may be supervised by a physician licensed to practice medicine in this State pursuant to chapter 630 of NRS in place of his or her supervising osteopathic physician if:
(a) The physician assistant works in a geographical area where the physician assistant can be conveniently supervised only by such a physician; and
(b) The supervising osteopathic physician and the physician licensed pursuant to chapter 630 of NRS agree to the arrangement.
2. Â A physician assistant so supervised is not a physician assistant for the purposes of chapter 630 of NRS solely because of that supervision.
3. Â The State Board of Osteopathic Medicine shall adopt jointly with the Board of Medical Examiners regulations necessary to administer the provisions of this section.
