108.390  Failure of consignee to accept freight after notice releases carrier from further liability.  If a consignee does not accept and remove freight within 24 hours after notice has been served on the consignee by the carrier, the carrier is released from further liability, by placing the freight in a suitable warehouse on storage, or the carrier may hold the same upon the carrier’s responsibility as a warehouseman.
