§ 3322. Acceptance of deed in lieu of foreclosure. The personal representative may take for the estate from the owner of property encumbered by a mortgage owned by the estate, a deed in lieu of foreclosure, in which event the real estate shall be considered personalty to the same extent as though title were acquired by foreclosure at sheriff's sale. Any deed or deeds heretofore so accepted are hereby made valid in accordance with the provisions hereof. Cross References. Section 3322 is referred to in sections 5144, 5521 of this title.
