CHAPTER 85 SIMULTANEOUS DEATH Sec. 8501. No sufficient evidence of survivorship. 8502. Beneficiaries of another person's disposition of property. 8503. Joint tenants or tenants by the entirety. 8504. Insurance policies. 8505. Chapter does not apply if decedent provides otherwise. Enactment. Chapter 85 was added June 30, 1972, P.L.508, No.164, effective July 1, 1972. § 8501. No sufficient evidence of survivorship. Where the title to property or the devolution thereof depends upon priority of death and there is no sufficient evidence that the persons have died otherwise than simultaneously, the property of each person shall be disposed of as if he had survived, except as provided otherwise in this chapter.
