§ 2376. Heating certain garbage before feeding. All garbage that may contain animals, animal parts or animal products shall be heated thoroughly to a temperature of at least 212 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of at least 30 minutes before being fed to domestic animals, unless the garbage has been treated in some other manner that has been approved by the department. Each lot, batch or unit of garbage shall be heated in its entirety to the required temperature and for the required length of time. A true and accurate record of garbage so processed shall be kept and maintained by the operator of a garbage feeding business or plant for a period of not less than one year. This record shall be made available to the department upon its request.
