§ 1315. Operation of vehicle following death of owner. When the owner of a vehicle is deceased, the vehicle may be operated by or for any heir or personal representative of the decedent for the remainder of the current registration period and throughout the next following registration period, provided that the registration is renewed in the name of the decedent's estate as otherwise required by this chapter. Registration may continue to be renewed thereafter in the name of the decedent's estate by any person entitled to the family exemption until the final account is approved by the court.
