§ 7124. Fraudulent use or removal of registration plate. A person who either removes a registration plate from a vehicle or affixes to a vehicle a registration plate not authorized by law for use on the vehicle, with intent to conceal or misrepresent the identity of the vehicle or its owner, is guilty of a summary offense punishable by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $500 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.
