§ 10.1-551. Conditions for extension of benefits.

As a condition to the extending of any benefits under this chapter to, or theperformance of work upon, any lands not owned or controlled by theCommonwealth or any of its agencies, the district directors may requirecontributions in money, services, materials, or otherwise to any operationsconferring such benefits, and may require land occupiers to enter into andperform such agreements or covenants as to the permanent use of such landsthat will tend to prevent or control erosion and prevent floodwaters andsediment damages thereon.
