§ 15.2-1733. Appointment of auxiliary police officers; revocation ofappointment; uniform; organization; rules and regulations.

The governing body of the locality may appoint or provide for the appointmentas auxiliary police officers as many persons of good character as it deemsnecessary, not to exceed the number fixed by ordinance adopted by thegoverning body, and their appointment shall be revocable at any time by thegoverning body. The governing body may prescribe the uniform, organization,and such rules as it deems necessary for the operation of the auxiliarypolice force.
