§ 15.2-1739. Compensation of special police officer.

A locality, if deemed proper, except where the police officer is otherwiseregularly employed and his duties as police officer are merely incidental tosuch private employment, may allow such compensation to the police officerappointed under the provisions of § 15.2-1737 as, together with any expensesincurred in executing his duties, shall be deemed right and proper by thegoverning body to be paid out of the local levy.
