§ 15.2-4001. Investigation by Commission on Local Government; certificationof findings to governing body.

If it appears from the most recent United States census that a city may notmeet the requirements for city status under Article VII, Section 1 of theConstitution of Virginia, the Commission on Local Government shall commencean investigation of the population, assets, liabilities, rights andobligations of such city and certify the findings to the governing body.
