§ 15.2-5364. Severability; liberal construction.

The provisions of this chapter are severable, and if any of its provisionsshall be declared unconstitutional or invalid by any court of competentjurisdiction, the decision of such court shall not affect or impair any ofthe other provisions of this chapter. This chapter, being necessary for thewelfare of the Commonwealth and its inhabitants, shall be liberally construedto effect the purposes hereof.
