§ 15.2-5411. Contracts for planning, acquisition, construction, etc., ofprojects.

An authority may contract for the planning, acquisition, construction,reconstruction, operation, maintenance, repair, extension, and improvement ofa project or may contract with one or more units to perform these functions,by advertising for bids, preparing plans and specifications in advance ofconstruction, or securing performances and payment bonds to the extent thatits board of directors determines that these actions are desirable infurtherance of the purposes of this chapter. Except as otherwise provided bythis section, no contract shall be invalid or unenforceable by reason ofnonperformance of the conditions required by any other law relating to publiccontracts.
