The judge may authorize the payment of the fees and mileage provided by lawin § 19.2-278 of any witness or person summoned or otherwise required toappear at the hearing of any case coming within the jurisdiction of thecourt, which sum shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of fundsappropriated in the general appropriations act to the Supreme Court ofVirginia.
