§ 16.1-69.14. Number of substitute judges.

The number of substitute judges shall be determined as follows:

(a) Substitute judges in office on June 30, 1975, shall be permitted tocomplete their terms;

(b) Subject to the expiration of such terms, the Committee on District Courtsshall determine the number of substitute judges for each district which shallbe necessary for the effective administration of justice. In determining thetotal number of substitute judges authorized for each district, the Committeeshall consider, among other factors, the number of full-time and part-timejudges serving the district.
