§ 16.1-69.32. Rules.

The Supreme Court may formulate rules of practice and procedure for thegeneral district courts and juvenile and domestic relations district courtsfollowing consultation with the Chairmen of the House and Senate Courts ofJustice Committees and the executive committee of the Judicial Conference ofVirginia for District Courts. Such rules, subject to the strict constructionof the provisions of § 8.01-3, which shall be the only rules of practice andprocedure in all the district courts in the Commonwealth, shall be includedin the Code of Virginia as provided in § 8.01-3, subject to revision by theGeneral Assembly.
