§ 16.1-69.42. Clerk when authorized by judge may execute appeal bonds; maymake out and attest transcripts.

The clerk of a district court may, when authorized so to do by the judge ofthe court he serves, execute appeal bonds in appeals from judgment of thecourt. Any such clerk may make out and attest transcripts of the papers andrecords of the court for use in evidence elsewhere.
