§ 16.1-102. Officers and sureties liable for money collected after return day.
If, after the return day of an execution issued on a judgment rendered by acourt not of record, an officer shall collect money or take possession ofproperty under such execution, he and his sureties shall be liable for suchmoney or property in like manner as if it had been collected or taken beforethe return day.
