§ 17.1-103. Residence requirements of judges.

Each judge of a circuit court shall, during his term of office, reside withinthe circuit to which he was appointed or elected and his removal therefromshall vacate his office. Where the boundary of the jurisdiction of a court ischanged by annexation or otherwise, a judge thereof shall not becomedisqualified from office or ineligible for reelection if, except for suchannexation or change, he would otherwise be qualified.
