§ 17.1-510. Election of judge of new circuit; how court held meanwhile.

If a new or additional circuit is created, a judge or judges shall be electedor appointed thereto in the same manner as provided by law for the filling ofvacancies or newly created judgeships in existing circuits.

During any vacancy from the creation of the new circuit until a judge hasbeen elected or appointed to fill the vacancy and has qualified, terms of thecourt shall be held by a judge or by judges designated as provided by law incases of vacancies.
