§ 18.2-207. Making false entry, etc., in marriage register, etc.

If any clerk of a court, commissioner of the revenue, physician, surgeon,medical examiner or minister celebrating a marriage, or clerk or keeper ofthe records of any religious society, shall, in any book, register, record,certificate or copy which such person is by Title 20 (§ 20-13 et seq.)required to keep, make, or give, knowingly make any false, erroneous, orfraudulent entry, record, registration, or written statement, he shall, forevery such offense, be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
