§ 2.2-216. Coordination of water quality information; monitoring the qualityof the waters, habitat, and living resources of Chesapeake Bay and itstributaries.

The Secretary shall:

1. Serve as the lead Secretary for the coordination of technical assistance,information, and training to ensure that consistent water quality informationis provided to all citizens of the Commonwealth; and

2. Consult with the Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry and the Secretaryof Health and Human Resources and cooperate with appropriate state andfederal agencies in the development and implementation of a comprehensiveprogram to monitor the quality of the waters, habitat, and the livingresources of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
