§ 2.2-2674.1. Definitions.

As used in this article:

"Local workforce investment board" means a local workforce investment boardestablished under § 117 of the WIA.

"One stop" means a conceptual approach to service delivery intended toprovide a single point of access for receiving a wide range of workforcedevelopment and employment services, either on-site or electronically,through a single system.

"One-stop center" means a physical site where core services are provided,either on-site or electronically, and access to intensive services, trainingservices, and other partner program services are available for employers,employees, and job seekers.

"One-stop operator" means a single entity or consortium of entities thatoperate a one-stop center or centers. Operators may be public or privateentities competitively selected or designated through an agreement with alocal workforce board.

"Virginia Workforce Network" includes the programs and activitiesenumerated in subsection G of § 2.2-2670.

"WIA" means the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (P.L. 105-220).
