§ 2.2-2806. Holding other office by officers of state institutions.

No person serving as a member of the governing board of any institution,supported in whole or in part by funds paid out of the state treasury, or asrector of such institution, or as president or chairman of the governingboard thereof, shall hold, during his term of office, any other office orposition with the institution on the board of which he is serving. If anysuch person accepts any such office or position, the acceptance shall ipsofacto vacate his office as a member of such board. Nothing in this sectionshall be construed to prevent members of boards of agricultural colleges fromdoing field or extension work.
