§ 2.2-702. Administrative responsibilities of Department regarding long-termcare.

The administrative responsibilities of the Department regarding long-termcare shall be to:

1. Develop appropriate fiscal and administrative controls over publiclong-term care services in the Commonwealth.

2. Develop a state long-term care plan to guide the coordination and deliveryof services by the human resources agencies, including transportationservices. The plan shall ensure the development of a continuum of long-termcare programs and services for the impaired elderly population in need ofservices.

3. Identify programmatic resources and assure the equitable statewidedistribution of these resources.

4. Perform ongoing evaluations of the cost-effective utilization of long-termcare resources.
