§ 21-243. Oath and bond of members.

Each member of the commission shall, before entering upon the discharge ofhis duties under this chapter, take and subscribe the oath of office requiredby Article II, Section 7 of the Constitution of Virginia, and give bondpayable to the Commonwealth of Virginia in form approved by the AttorneyGeneral, in such penalty as shall be fixed from time to time by the StateHealth Commissioner, with some surety or guaranty company duly authorized todo business in Virginia and approved by the State Health Commissioner, assecurity, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of his duties. The premiumof such bonds shall be paid by the commission and the bonds shall be filedwith and preserved by the Comptroller.
