§ 21-250. Acquisition and use of pipes, sewers, plants, stations, etc.

Every commission is authorized and directed to acquire, in the name of thecommission but for the cities, counties and towns in whole or in partembraced within the district, by purchase, gift, condemnation or otherwise,and, notwithstanding the provisions of any charter, ordinance or resolutionof any county, city or town to the contrary, to construct, maintain, operateand use such trunk, intercepting and outlet sewers, conduits, pipelines,pumping and ventilating stations, treatment plants or works at such places,and such other plants, structures, boats and conveyances, as in the judgmentof the commission will provide an effective and satisfactory method forpromoting the purposes of the commission.
