§ 21-343. Payments into court.

The court may, from time to time, order the petitioners to pay into court, oras the court may direct, such amounts at a flat rate per acre according tothe area owned by each within the bounds of the district as may be necessaryto pay costs and expenses theretofore accrued, such amount to be repaid fromthe drainage fund to the petitioners in equal sums as were received togetherwith interest thereon at the rate of six per centum per annum by order of thecourt when, and if the bonds of the district are sold, or the drainage fundotherwise provided and such order to pay into court when entered, shall havethe force and effect of a judgment, and it shall be docketed in the judgmentdocket of the court of the county in which the petition was filed by theclerk thereof, if not paid within thirty days from the entry of the order.Ten days' notice, however, shall be given by the clerk to each personaffected thereby, of such order of the court.
