(a) The Council shall provide advisory services to, and with respect to, theprivate, accredited, nonprofit colleges and universities within theCommonwealth on academic and administrative matters. The Council may alsoreview and advise on joint activities, including contracts for services,between private and public colleges and universities and between privatecolleges and universities and any agency of the Commonwealth or politicalsubdivision thereof. The Council may collect and analyze such data as may bepertinent to such activities.
(b) The Private College Advisory Committee established and maintained by theCouncil is continued and shall hereafter be known as the Private CollegeAdvisory Board. The Council shall seek the advice of the Private CollegeAdvisory Board and the Advisory Board shall assist the Council in theperformance of its duties as required by subsection (a) herein. The PrivateCollege Advisory Board shall be composed of college and universityrepresentatives and such other members as the Council may select.
(c) The Private College Advisory Board shall be broadly representative of theprivate sector of nonprofit higher education in the Commonwealth. The PrivateCollege Advisory Board shall meet at least twice each year and shall advisethe Council and the private accredited nonprofit colleges and universities inthe Commonwealth with respect to such matters as may come before it. TheCouncil may employ such qualified personnel as may be required to assist thePrivate College Advisory Board in the performance of its duties.
