§ 23-9.2:5. Student representatives to boards of visitors.

A. The board of visitors of any four-year state institution of highereducation shall appoint one or more students as nonvoting, advisoryrepresentatives. Such representatives shall be appointed under suchcircumstances and serve for such terms as the board of visitors of theinstitution shall prescribe.

B. Nothing in this section shall prohibit any board of visitors fromexcluding such representatives from discussions of faculty grievances,faculty or staff disciplinary matters or salaries or other matters at thediscretion of the board.
