§ 23-174.5. Rights and powers of board of visitors generally; executivecommittee.

The board shall be vested with all the rights and powers conferred by theprovisions of this chapter and the provisions relating to similarcorporations under the laws of this Commonwealth so far as they areapplicable. The corporation shall also have the power to take, hold, receiveand enjoy any gift, grant, devise or bequest to Norfolk State University, thesame to be held for the uses and purposes designated by the donor, if any, orif not so designated, for the general purposes of the corporation. The boardmay designate not less than three nor more than five of its members toconstitute an executive committee which shall have and may exercise suchauthority of the board as the board may provide.
