§ 23-69. Board a corporation.

The board of visitors of the University of Virginia shall be and remain acorporation, under the style of "the Rector and Visitors of the Universityof Virginia," and shall have, in addition to its other powers, all thecorporate powers given to corporations by the provisions of Title 13.1;except in those cases where, by the express terms of the provisions thereof,it is confined to corporations created under such title; and shall also havethe power to accept, execute and administer any trust in which it may have aninterest under the terms of the instrument creating the trust. The rector andvisitors of the University of Virginia shall be at all times subject to thecontrol of the General Assembly.
