§ 24.2-604.2. Polling places; prohibited area; emergency situations.

If an emergency causes the dimensions of the prohibited area for a pollingplace to be perceived as increasing the risk of danger for persons outsidethe polling place, the electoral board may modify the distance requirementsfor the prohibited area, subject to the prior approval of the State Board.For purposes of this section, an "emergency" includes a state of emergencydeclared by the Governor pursuant to Chapter 3.2 (§ 44-146.13 et seq.) ofTitle 44 or declared by the President of the United States.
