§ 24.2-631. Experimental use of voting systems and ballots prior to approvalof the system.

The State Board is authorized to approve the experimental use of voting orcounting systems and ballots for the purpose of casting and counting absenteeballots in one or more counties and cities designated by the Board (i) thathave established central absentee voter election districts and (ii) whoseelectoral board submits to the Board for approval a plan for the use of suchsystem and ballots. The Board is also authorized to approve the experimentaluse of voting or counting systems and ballots in one or more precincts in anycounty or city whose electoral board submits to the Board for approval a planfor such use. The use of such systems and ballots at an election shall bevalid for all purposes.
