§ 24.2-672. Electoral board to correct irregularities in returns of officersof election.

While ascertaining the results of an election, the electoral board may findthat there are irregularities or informalities in the returns of the officersof election which can be cured by amending or correcting the returns. Thenthe board immediately shall summon, to appear before the board on the date ofthe summons or the next date thereafter, the officers of elections requiredto amend the returns so that the same may conform to the law. The summons maybe executed by any person authorized by law to serve summonses for witnesses.
