§ 25.1-216. Amendments to pleadings.

A. No amendments shall be made to the petition or other pleading after it isfiled, except by leave of court.

B. Leave to amend for the addition of new parties and for other purposesshall be liberally granted in furtherance of the ends of justice.

C. In granting leave to amend, the court may make such provision for noticeand opportunity to make response as the court deems reasonable and proper.
