Inspection of buildings other than state-owned buildings under constructionand the review and approval of building plans for these structures forenforcement of the Uniform Statewide Building Code shall be the soleresponsibility of the appropriate local building inspectors. Upon completionof such structures, responsibility for fire safety protection shall pass tothe local fire marshal or official designated by the locality to enforce theStatewide Fire Prevention Code (§ 27-94 et seq.) in those localities whichenforce the Statewide Fire Prevention Code.
