§ 29.1-808.1. Boating safety education required.

It shall be unlawful for any watercraft salesman or watercraft demonstratorto engage in business in this Commonwealth as a watercraft salesman orwatercraft demonstrator without first (i) completing successfully a basicboating safety education course approved by the Director or (ii) by December31, 1998, passing a test approved by the Director; however, any watercraftsalesman or demonstrator licensed after December 31, 1998, shall have aperiod of sixty days from the issuance of his license in which to completethe approved course.
