§ 3.2-2901. Agricultural Council; composition and appointment of members.

The Agricultural Council is continued within the executive branch of stategovernment. The Agricultural Council shall consist of 18 members to beappointed by the Governor. Insofar as practical, 15 members shall be activelyengaged in farming and shall be primarily engaged in the production of adifferent agricultural commodity. The Commissioner, the dean of the Collegeof Agriculture and Life Sciences of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and StateUniversity, and the Associate Vice President for Agriculture and Extension ofVirginia State University shall serve as members ex officio.
