§ 31-49. Powers of custodian.

A custodian, acting in a custodial capacity, has all the rights, powers, andauthority over custodial property that unmarried adult owners have over theirown property, which shall include but not be limited to those powers setforth in § 64.1-57 as of the date the custodian acts, but a custodian mayexercise such rights, powers, and authority in that capacity only. However,this section does not relieve a custodian from liability for breach of a dutyimposed under § 31-48.
