§ 32.1-175. Emergency orders; appeal.

A. The Commissioner may issue emergency orders in any case where there is animminent danger to the public health and welfare resulting from the operationof any waterworks or the source of a water supply. The Commissioner may orderthe immediate cessation of the operation of any waterworks or the use of anywater supply or the correction of any condition causing the production ordistribution of any water constituting an imminent danger to the publichealth and welfare. Emergency orders shall be effective for a perioddetermined by the Commissioner.

B. An emergency order issued by the Commissioner may be appealed inaccordance with the provisions of the Administrative Process Act (§ 2.2-4000et seq.).
