§ 32.1-219. Tags required.

A. Every importer of and every person manufacturing a new item of bedding orupholstered furniture shall attach securely thereto a substantial white clothtag or equivalent, visible on the outside covering of such item and not lessthan six square inches in size, upon which shall be plainly stamped orprinted, in English, the name and address of the manufacturer, importer ordistributor, the registration number of the manufacturer or importer, thekind of filling materials used therein, a statement that the fillingmaterials are new, and the number of the permit issued to the personsterilizing any new feathers, hair or down in such item.

B. Any person sanitizing, remaking, renovating or reupholstering anysecondhand item of bedding or upholstered furniture or manufacturing any itemof bedding or upholstered furniture containing any shoddy or secondhandfilling material shall attach securely to it a substantial yellow cloth tagor equivalent, visible on the outside of such item and not less than sixsquare inches in size, upon which shall be stamped or printed, in English,the kind of filling materials used therein, a statement that the item orfilling materials are secondhand, and the number of the permit issued to theperson who sanitized such item or filling material.

C. The stamp or print on tags required by this section shall be in type notless than three millimeters in height.
