§ 33.1-158. Notice of proposed abandonment.

In case of a proposed abandonment of a road referred to in this article, thegoverning body shall give at least thirty days' notice of intention so to doby posting notice at the front door of the courthouse, by posting notices onat least three places along and on the road proposed to be abandoned, and bypublication of intention so to do at least twice in a newspaper havinggeneral circulation in the county. All such notices shall state the time andplace at which the governing body will meet to consider the abandonment ofsuch road.
