§ 33.1-159. Petition for abandonment.

Any person desiring to have any such road abandoned may petition thegoverning body therefor and shall file with it and in the clerk's office ofthe county a reasonably accurate plat and description of the section to beabandoned. The governing body may then proceed to have such road abandoned asabove provided but the expenses thereof shall be borne by the petitioner.
