§ 33.1-175. New road part of secondary system; former road to vest inmunicipality.

When the city or town shall have been notified by the CommonwealthTransportation Commissioner of final approval of the construction of the roador highway, the same shall immediately become a part of the secondary systemof state highways and the public shall be vested with the same rights oftravel thereover as it possesses with respect to the other highways in thesystem. And thereupon the part of the road or highway which it is proposed toflood shall be deemed to be abandoned and all public rights therein shallvest in the city or town.
