Any transit system as defined in § 15.2-4502 which conducts its operationswithin the exclusive jurisdiction of any county, city or town or within theboundaries of any district as defined in § 15.2-4502, and any jurisdictioncontiguous thereto, shall file annually with the Commonwealth TransportationBoard such financial and other statistical data as the CommonwealthTransportation Board shall require in order to effectively administer theprovisions of § 46.2-206, and shall file with the Department of Rail andPublic Transportation, at such times as the Department of Rail and PublicTransportation shall require, such information as the Department of Rail andPublic Transportation shall require to carry out its duties under subdivision4 of § 33.1-391.5.
The provisions of this section shall not be construed so as to exempt anysuch transit system from any provision of law or regulation made pursuant tolaw which requires the filing of data with any other agency of theCommonwealth.
