§ 33.1-223.2:17. Commonwealth Transportation Board may transfer interest inand control over certain highways, highway rights-of-way, and landings.

Notwithstanding any contrary provision of this title, the CommonwealthTransportation Board, upon receipt of a written request from a public accessauthority established pursuant to Title 15.2 and without first abandoning ordiscontinuing such highway, highway right-of-way, or landing, may transfer tosuch authority any and all rights and interests of the Board in such highway,highway right-of-way, and landing as the Board may deem in the publicinterest. Such transfer may be either with or without compensation from theauthority.
