§ 33.1-223.2:24. Secretary to submit annual report on actions taken toincrease transit use, etc.

The Secretary of Transportation, in consultation and cooperation with theCommonwealth Transportation Commissioner and the Director of the Departmentof Rail and Public Transportation shall annually, not later than November 1,submit to the General Assembly a report on actions taken by the Commonwealth,local governments, and regional transportation authorities to (i) increasetransit use and (ii) reduce highway congestion and use of single occupantvehicles through programs and initiatives involving transportation demandmanagement, transit use, telecommuting, carpooling, construction of commuterparking facilities, use of flexible work hours, and telecommunicationstechnology.
