§ 33.1-33. Maintenance of roads at state institutions.

The Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner may when requested by thegoverning body of a state institution assume the maintenance of any roadsituated within the grounds of such state institution which has heretoforebeen or is hereafter established and constructed by such institution tostandards acceptable to the Commissioner. Any such roads accepted formaintenance by the Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner under theprovisions of this section shall be a part of the State Highway System, butthe state institution shall continue to exercise police power over such roads.
